Syllable Plus Computer Software
(Grades 4 and up)
This program teaches students decoding skills useful
in reading and spelling using seven distinct syllable categories. The
first 6 basic syllable patterns - closed, open, silent e, double vowel,
consonant le and r-controlm - are regular in appearance and consistency.
The seventh category - Plus - is used for syllables that do not fit any
of the six or appear to belong in two of the six syllable categories.
Fourteen games are available and represent a wide range of difficulty,
from words of increasing syllable length to subject-matter oriented words
used by secondary and post-secondary students. A nonsense word game is
included to provide an opportunity to determine the student's true understanding
of syllables. The program includes a student management program that allows
students to save and/or print their scores. Teachers may view and/or print
student results. A Teacher's Manual is included. On-Site License Agreements
are available.

ON-SITE LICENSE AGREEMENT
An On-Site License Agreement will be issued for Macintosh computer
programs for users who wish to place the programs on network systems.
Upon the purchase of the original program/s at regular cost, the program/s
may be installed on additional computers in the same educational setting
at the cost of $20.00 per computer. A contract will be issued stating
the computer program and number of computers with a copy for the purchaser
and a copy for the seller to be kept on file. See each computer program
for price. Additional copies of IBM and other software computer programs
may be purchased at $20.00 upon the purchase of the original program/s.
