Prefixes Computer Software
(Grades 6 and up)
Prefixes is designed as a reinforcement
program providing additional practice for students who need direct instruction
for reading, spelling and vocabulary development. The 110 prefixes are
grouped into ten manageable, meaning-related games with the meaning and
three sample words incorporating the prefix in each game. An additional
eight games grouped by patterns and meanings called Chameleon Prefix Families
are presented, and the student adds a prefix to a base word. This program
includes on-screen practices and quizzes for the student as well as a
student management program. Students can save and/or print out scores.
The teacher may view and/or print results. A Teacher's Manual with a list
of prefixes is provided. Prefixes is cross-referenced with VAK

ON-SITE LICENSE AGREEMENT
An On-Site License Agreement will be issued for Macintosh computer
programs for users who wish to place the programs on network systems.
Upon the purchase of the original program/s at regular cost, the program/s
may be installed on additional computers in the same educational setting
at the cost of $20.00 per computer. A contract will be issued stating
the computer program and number of computers with a copy for the purchaser
and a copy for the seller to be kept on file. See each computer program
for price. Additional copies of IBM and other software computer programs
may be purchased at $20.00 upon the purchase of the original program/s.
