Intermediate Syllable Plus Computer Software
(Grades 6 - 8)
This program expands upon the Syllable
Plus computer program by providing practice in identifying 52
prefixes, 36 roots and 36 suffixes into seven distinct syllable categories.
Practice will enable students to recognize and understand that prefixes,
roots and suffixes are syllables and will assist in their decoding of
polysyllabic words. Two levels of identifying basic prefixes, roots and
suffixes are provided. The visual level is the basic recognition without
knowing the alternate pronunciations. The sound level, a more sophisticated
level, provides students the opportunity to master the basic prefixes,
roots and suffixes to include the variations in pronunciation including
the schwa sound. A student management program is included allowing students
to save and/or print their scores. Teachers may view and/or print student
results. A Teacher's Manual is included. Intermediate Syllable Plus
is organized in sets that follow the Intermediate
Prefixes, Roots and Suffixes Word Book; Intermediate
Prefixes, Roots and Suffixes Practice Cards; Intermediate
Prefixes, Roots and Suffixes Teacher's Manual; and Intermediate

ON-SITE LICENSE AGREEMENT
An On-Site License Agreement will be issued for Macintosh computer
programs for users who wish to place the programs on network systems.
Upon the purchase of the original program/s at regular cost, the program/s
may be installed on additional computers in the same educational setting
at the cost of $20.00 per computer. A contract will be issued stating
the computer program and number of computers with a copy for the purchaser
and a copy for the seller to be kept on file. See each computer program
for price. Additional copies of IBM and other software computer programs
may be purchased at $20.00 upon the purchase of the original program/s.
